MAFS UK star Eve has fans shocked with her transformation in the past two years. From the bright lights of her buff body-building showcase, to the white glow of the wedding alter, Reality Tidbit has had a snoop on her Instagram.
Married At First Sight UK season 9 is underway, premiering on September 6. Fans have welcomed the diverse new cast, who are only a few days into the show. Eve and Charlie have already caused a bit of a stir as it was all drama when they jetted off for a supposed romantic honeymoon. What has fans even more shook is the massive transformation Eve has undergone before appearing on the show – two years ago she was a competitive bodybuilder.
MAFS UK star Eve was a proud bodybuilder
Eve and Charlie are the second lesbian couple to grace the MAFS UK experiment. Before going on the show, Eve spoke of only having had one serious relationship, but she was now ready to settle down and find the one.
The 31 year-old’s first relationship was with a man, however, aged 26 the Channel 4 star realized she was queer. Eve has now been single for two years.
From her Instagram, you can clearly see that Eve is an outdoor dwelling, fitness fanatic. Makes sense as she has worked as a lifeguard and a fitness coach. It seems the gym may be her happy place, as some old photos have surfaced of the star looking buff.
In a post from 2022, Eve is on stage in a blue-beaded bikini and this woman has abs for days. Competing in a bodybuilding competition, she is tanned-up, tatted-up, and looking stunning.
The caption said: “I just absolutely love looking at pictures from stage and feeling proud!! Been a long year…. Been an absolutely super one though.”
The reality star urges others to “find something you love and give it your best shot” like she is clearly doing with the competition. She added: “I’ve realized this stage game makes me so happy and I never want to have a year I don’t put my foot on stage.”
Seems she has been primed for the cameras and prepared for the TV ‘stage’ for a while now.
‘That’s not what marriage is in my eyes’
Unfortunately, for Eve, it seems tension on the show isn’t as easy to manage as being in the bodybuilding spotlight. The September 18 episode saw the newly wedded couple having a Mexican bust-up, resulting in two nights sleeping in separate beds.
Though used to the attention on stage, Eve claimed she was overwhelmed by the reaction she was receiving from Charlie. While in the pool, Eve asked her wife to “chill out” with the affection she was dousing her in and told the producers she likes her own space.
Reasonably, Charlie was unhappy with this request and told the show top dogs that Eve is: “Clearly not as committed as me.”
After spending the night in separate rooms the pair tried to reconcile their differences, Charlie felt abandoned and classed going to bed on an argument episode as a “massive red flag.”
“That’s not what marriage is in my eyes,” Charlie told her wife, she added: “I just don’t want you to push me out.”
Fans are eagerly waiting to see if they can resolve their different perceptions about marriage and kiss and make-up to continue with the season. However, in a tense cliffhanger ending, Charlie announced she would be leaving the show for good.
