The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has confirmed the tragic death of three individuals following the collapse of a two-storey building in Noman’s Land, Fagge Local Government Area, Kano State.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:00 am on Thursday, September 5, 2024.
In a statement posted on the agency’s official X handle, it was revealed that six people were trapped in the collapsed structure.
So far, two individuals have been rescued alive, while three have been confirmed dead.
NEMA stated: “Search and rescue operations are still ongoing with the involvement of relevant stakeholders.”
Efforts continue to locate any remaining survivors.
