Taraba poly has zero tolerance for cultism, exam malpractices – Rector

The acting rector of the Taraba state Polytechnic, Suntai, Dr Amos Danladi, weekend warned newly matriculated students of the institution that the polytechnic has zero tolerance for cultism, examination malpractice, fighting, rape, indecent dressing, stealing, riot, fanaticism or religious extremism, bullying, terrorism, tribalism, illegal protest among others.

Danladi who stated this in Jalingo during the occasion of the 2023/2024 matriculation ceremony said no student would be spared if found wanting in any of the above acts, adding that they would be given the penalty specified by the law.

He noted that Governor Agbu Kefas since assumption of office has demonstrated to Tarabans that he has come to work and not to steal Taraba’s money.

He stated further that Governor Kefes demonstrated his zeal to work for Tarabans by his declaration of free education in all public schools and slashed down of student’s fees by 50% in all institutions of higher learning.

“I urged all of you, the newly matriculated students to utilise this messianic opportunity to build your future.The academic journey is tasteful and will require your total commitment, dedication and hard work to overcome challenges that lie ahead of you,” he said.
