Reality TV icon Paris Hilton admits she doesn’t want her children following in her footsteps. She hopes they will choose “what they want to do” over fame later in life.
Paris Hilton heiress to the Hilton chain hotels has been famous for as long as we can remember. Making her big solo breakout in 2003 by starring in The Simple Life, with bestie Nicole Richie, she has had countless reality TV show appearances since. Even though we’ve seen the mother of two having an awful lot of fun in Arkansas, she doesn’t want the same spotlight for her children.
‘I just hope that they do what they want to do’
Paris is mom to two beautiful babies, Phoenix, who is 20 months old, and London, who is 10 months old.
These cuties are irresistible and already garnering a lot of social media attention, as the Stars Are Blind singer frequently posts images of them on her Instagram.
However, when it comes to the fame of her little ones, Hilton told exclusively E! News: “I hope that they’re not.”
The Paris in Love star recently attended Nylon Nights: Fashion Edition party celebrating her new album, Infinite Icon, in NYC.
This is when she caught up with the news outlet to tell them: “It’s a lot. You need to be very strong. I am very strong and I know I’m going to raise them to be, but I just hope that they do what they want to do.”
Paris’ kids are besties just like her and Nicole
Fans of The Simple Life are in luck as Paris, and lifelong friend Nicole, are returning to our screens. It seems nothing has changed for the troublemakers as they continue to wreak havoc in the latest season of the Peacock reality show.
“Every time we’re together, we have the best time,” the heiress joked. “We’re just like two teenagers. And it was funny just going back and working at Sonic again. People were just so surprised. It’s always fun to shock people.”
E! News asked the star how she manages to balance raising two tots and filming a reality show at the same time.
“I’m a sliving [slaying and living] mom and we can do it all,” she shared. “I feel that moms are superheroes already and I’ve always been a person who doesn’t like to live inside of a box.
“I like to do it all and I have so many aspirations in life. I love to be creative, I love to make music. I love being a businesswoman and being a mom is my favorite part.”
Like-mother-like-kids it’s not only Paris who has a lifelong best friend. The DJ also revealed that she and her husband Carter Reum’s kids are becoming besties too.
“It’s so cute,” she enthused. “Phoenix is already so protective with her, and he’ll just lay next to her and rub her head and kiss her forehead. He’s just so gentle. It’s the cutest thing. It melts my heart every day.”
