Sixteen “lone wolves” are dropped into the Alaskan wilderness in the second season of a gritty Netflix show this September. Outlast is back! The competitors are likely weighing up whether fighting for survival in the wild is more difficult than having to work as part of a team. This fall, there’s $1 million up for grabs, and whoever has the best survival skills will win.
With a whopping prize fund up for grabs, the Netflix show is set to be intense. The 16 survivalists have their work cut out as they navigate the competition. The Outlast contestants are split into four teams – the Alpha Camp, Bravo Camp, Charlie Camp, and Delta Camp. The team that survives the longest and wins a final challenge will be crowned overall champions.
Meet the Outlast cast members
There’s nothing Netflix fans love more than getting stuck into a fresh survival series.
As Outlast season 2 drops on the streaming service this fall, let’s meet the all-new cast.
Bayardo (Bayo) Hernandez
Ready to put his skills to the test in a bid to bag a million dollars is Bayo.
He works in Python removal for Florida State.
Bayo is also a professional hunter, tracker, and trapper.
He is “fearless” and wants to bring his Miami survival skills to Alaska, writes Netflix’s Tudum.
Brendon Ash
Brendon is a professional trapper. He hails from Idaho and is no stranger to hunting all kinds of animals.
He’s also able to forage, so it looks like anyone on Brendon’s team is unlikely to go hungry.
Per Tudum, “taking out some big game” is his “mission” on the show.
Bri Walston
Air Force veteran Bri is branching out into the realms of reality TV this fall.
She’s used to living out of her van and loves the outdoors. Bri studied for two degrees in her life.
She has previous experience of living in Alaska and is an “accomplished bow hunter and fisherman.”
Deontre (Tre) Thomas
Glazer and arborist Tre is ready for a new challenge on Netflix’s Outlast season 2.
He hails from Austin, Texas and is an “expert at building snares and traps.”
He’s currently set himself the challenge of hiking all of the USA’s 50 states and “is making his own bows and arrows and wants to be the first on Outlast to catch and kill a bear.”
Drake Vliem
Father of four Drake is an oil field technician.
He’s from Midland, Texas, and is ready to “climb trees and build hunting blinds” thanks to his great height, per Tudum.
Drew Haas
Outlast star Drew is an outdoor enthusiast who works as a commercial helicopter pilot.
Hailing from Hallettsville, Texas, Drew’s talents include “bow hunting, field dressing an animal, and building grand shelters.”
Emily Johnston
Data analyst Emiyl is next up on the cast list.
She’s from Boulder, Colorado, and prides herself on being able to identify dozens of regional plants.
If there’s flint and steel around, she knows what to do with it and she’s no stranger to constructing shelters.
Eric Shevchenko
It looks like whoever gets Eric on their team won’t grumble when it comes to dinner time as he’s a chef and farm-to-table restauranteur.
Eric is a resident of Saginaw, Michigan.
Joey DiDesidero
Hailing from Benton City, Washington is Outlast star Joey.
He’s always had a passion for the outdoors and loves adventure. The Netflix star spent his honeymoon backpacking through Europe with his wife.
Joey works in radioactive and hazardous waste construction management.
Joseph Malbrough
Lafayette, Louisiana is the place Joseph calls home. He’s leaving it all behind for Alaska however, to embark on the Netflix competition.
He’s an elite hog hunter who is no stranger to bringing home the bacon with his bow and arrow.
Julio Laboy
Lawyer Julio not only has brains but he’s a “top-tier survivalist.”
He’s “a former nationally ranked Master’s Olympic weight lifter” per Tudum and now trains regularly at the Survival University in Colorado.
Meghan Buchanan
Meghan is a rocket scientist. Not only that, but the Netflix star is also an adventure athlete.
She’s from Vail Valley, Colorado, and has experience fishing, building, and making fire.
Meghan is no stranger to tough conditions as she “once spent seven weeks in freezing temps climbing Mount Everest.”
Sammy Norris
Hailing from Flag Pond, Tennessee is Sammy.
He’s not only resourceful but resilient and is ready to take on the Outlast challenge.
Sammy can construct, carve, and craft like there’s no tomorrow.
Tina Grimm
Outlast season 2 star Tina is a model and artist.
She’s also a thru hiker who tracks wildlife big and small.
Tina hails from Simi Valley, California, and “possesses unique knowledge of food storage, wild edibles, and weather patterns.”
Tonia Willman
Archer Tonia hails from Molalla, Oregon.
She works as a fabricator and previously also spent time working as a mental health therapist.
Per Netflix: “She’s been through hellish situations but never lets them defeat her.”
Zach Owens
Zach is a social media manager from Melba, Idaho.
He’s “in the best physical shape of his life” and has past experience as an MMA fighter and gym fanatic.
Per Tudum, Zach is “in the top 1% of bow hunters.”
