Project Manager of Rising Stars Football League (RSFL), Mr Ifeanyi Kama, has assured that the grassroots Football League ongoing in Abuja will afterwards move to Lagos, and other states if they get an invite.
The Abuja-based football administrator stated this while featuring in a leading sports WhatsApp group, Sports World Platform on Sunday in a weekly program titled Super Interview, a show that was co anchored by Ibadan based Sports journalist, Sunday Agunbiade popularly known as Mr VAR and Wale Oye.
Mr Ifeanyi said establishing the structure in Abuja and getting young talented footballers engaged at early stage with a goal of making them the world stars is part of their vision and Abuja is key for the project being the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria.
He therefore assured that the next pot of call is Lagos state and probably Oyo state provided they get an invite.
Speaking in the popular Nigerian sports group, he said, “Thank you sincerely Coach Yinka. Like I said we started Rising Stars Football League in Abuja being the Federal Capital Territory Nigeria where we have a lot of stakeholders and once we can solidify it there and we let them know what we can do, then, others will follow. After here, we are planning to go to Lagos State. As for Oyo State, I have never been to Oyo State anyway but we are trying to see how many states we can really get to but I don’t know how soon we are going to be in Oyo State. I don’t want to rule out the probability though but if we get an invite ,we could come to Oyo State but certainly Oyo State has to show an intent to host us.”
Mr. Ifeanyi who is a very detailed oriented football administrator with optimum performance has achieved a lot in terms of organising a grassroots football league in Abuja and they are moving to the Super 4.
He is presently supervising a league called Rising Stars Football League which is a plaform that was initiated last year consisting of six area concils.
The league is basically designed to elevate a grassroot football and he’s trying as much as possible to showcase grassroot talents.
It aims at giving back to community by establishing a platform that would help the community in many ways. He is regarded as a major tool for youth empowerment, creating a link within grassroot football and establishing a league for the younger minds. He alongside his team are giving opportunities based on their dept of reach in the local communities.
They went through the whole 6 area councils for qualifiers and also gave souvenirs for participation and encouragement till they came down to 12 teams.
They have created bonuses for teams that participated and reduced pressure from the financial burden with functional social media platforms and the league website.
Mr Ifeanyi Karma and his team of experts have been able to achieve alot and provide video coverage and Livestreaming matches on their youtube channel.
Now they have the super four coming up and they are working very hard to ensure they deliver optimally and create experience that will forever remain green .
