Promote nation’s potentials positively, Omole charges media practitioners 

Journalists and media practitioners across the country have been called upon to focus on promoting the positive potentialities that can affect development of the federation.  

Chief Akindele Akin Omole, an economic expert made the call  weekend while commenting on the way forward in tackling the current socio-economic challenges in the country.

He said it is to attract both foreign and local investors to inject their funds in different sectors of the nation’s economy.

 Speaking in Akure, the Ondo state capital, the chartered accountant stated the role of the media in revamping the nation’s economy that cannot be over emphasised or ignored.

7The economic expert cited examples of some African nations, being promoted as Africa’s destination, saying journalists and media practitioners in the countries were working in collaboration with the governments at promoting such good values of the countries.

Omole, fellow of institute of chartered accountants is also the patron of Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ondo state.

He called for collaboration between the government and journalists in the country while explaining different policies being rolled out by government for the resuscitation of the economy.

Chief A Omole said, “Journalists and media practitioners in our country have a lot to do in promoting the potentials of our country which are capable of attracting investors from within and outside the country.”
