Netflix star's famous ex is one of the reasons she lets men 'do what they want'

In the eighth season of Selling Sunset, Bre Tiesi is forced to reconcile with her past when she has to show a house to ex-husband Johnny Manziel, she lets slip how this relationship may have impacted her present.

Bre Tiesi has been a member of the Selling Sunset cast since season 6, and alongside starring in the show, she’s co-parenting with Nick Cannon. Prior to the show, she was in a relationship with NFL star Johnny Manziel, the pair had a fast-paced and rocky relationship due to a cheating scandal. In the latest season of the Netflix show, Bre passes a comment that could explain why she’s “not a monogamy kind of person.”

Bre and Johnny divorced after one year

Bre Tiesi and Johnny Manziel first began dating in 2016, when, at 23, the NFL star’s career was already coming to an end. In this same year, Manziel was involved in many scandals, which may have led to his release from the NFL.

After dating for less than a year, Manziel proposed to the Selling Sunset star during a Paris trip with a diamond ring and a bouquet of roses.

The pair tied the knot in 2018 in a small ceremony in California, friends and family were thrilled for the happy couple.

However, almost exactly a year after they said ‘I do’ Tiesi and Manziel split. The model took to Instagram, in a since-deleted post, to have her say: “U been married? U been betrayed? I don’t do betrayal for a person I was devoted to period,” reports People.

Tiesi dramatically deleted all photos of Manziel off her social media as she alleged he had cheated on her, while she was on vacation in Bali. Soon after, Manziel confirmed the two had split and they filed for a divorce.

‘Let him stay in his little fairytale land’

The pair, for better or for worse, have been reunited in season 8 of Selling Sunset, but this time it is strictly business.

Tiesi joked during a confessional: “My ex-husband, Johnny Manziel, reached out because he’s looking for a house in LA. I’m going to help him find something but we’re going to make sure he lives very far from me.”

The former NFL player appeared to want to build bridges. He shared how proud he was of Tiesi and all her accomplishments, as they toured the $4 million house.

“Life goes the way that it’s supposed to go,” the 31-year-old said. “You are in a position now where you got exactly what you wanted in life. And I’m proud of you for that and I’m happy for you.”

Then the two take a quick delve into the past. In response to Johnny sharing what he got up to when Bre’s back was turned, she sharply quipped: Oh you spent a lot of time with someone else on their back.”

It seems since the years have passed, Manziel is more willing to acknowledge his role in their demise. He said: “And I still feel bad to this day about treating you like that. Getting divorced after we broke up was one of the hardest points in my life, and I cried and I begged and I pleaded.”

Bre is somewhat satisfied with this apology and the fact her ex recognizes “the hell that he put me through,” however, one to have the last laugh she added: “Johnny is like Peter Pan, he just never wants to grow up. So we’re gonna let him stay in his little fairytale land.”

‘Do what you want’

In the episode prior to their ‘big reunion,’ Bre has to break some devastating news to cast mate Chelsea Lazkani, the nature of which she knows too well.

A friend of Bre apparently saw Chelsea’s husband “making out in the lobby” of a hotel “with another woman.”

Bre told Chelsea although she cannot 100 percent confirm these rumors are true she wanted to come to her “woman to woman” as her husband was “doing the same thing with multiple women.”

She concluded: “I wouldn’t wish this on you or anyone ever.”

The pair open up to each other as Chelsea gets understandably teary-eyed at the news. It was during this heart-to-heart Bre admitted: “That’s why I’m like ‘do what you want’. I don’t have the energy.”
