After months of anticipation, Noche UFC will finally go down at the iconic Las Vegas Sphere. In order to make it the biggest combat sports experience for fight fans, Dana White has spent over $20 million. While it was a gutsy move by the UFC CEO, as it turns out, NFL legend Tom Brady was the reason behind all the development.
Dana White has revealed that Noche UFC grossed a stunning $23 million, an all-time record. White predicts that the PPV purchases will also break records. During a recent interview, White was asked about the decision to choose the Sphere as an event. In return, White thanked Tom Brady for bringing him to a U2 concert in the Sphere, which inspired the concept.
I went to the Sphere with Tom Brady. He invited me to come to U2 with him. Had Brady not invited me, I wouldn't even have been to the Sphere yet. It's almost like this was meant to be. This Sphere event was supposed to happen.Dana White via TMZ Sports
Branded as the ‘Love Letter to Mexico,’ Dana White has left no stone unturned for Noche UFC. Fans are expected to be flabbergasted with a variety of never-done-before features, exploiting the state-of-the-art technology of the Sphere. From top-of-the-range cameras to Augmented Reality walkouts, the UFC has aimed to provide a grand visual experience.
A movie will be shown between fights in which UFC collaborates with some Hollywood talents. White has announced a whopping $25K prize for the individual to find all the hidden Easter eggs in the movie. UFC executives have also suggested keeping some parts of the UFC Noche as a default for future events. All these are thanks to the one evening that White spent with Tom Brady.
When Dana White broke the internet with his Tom Brady roast
The Netflix roast of Tom Brady, hosted by Kevin Hart, featured comedians, athletes, and celebrities who humorously targeted Brady’s career, personal life, and retirement. Dana White was also invited there and showed up with UFC superstars Max Holloway and Sean O’Malley. While things started out lightly, it didn’t take much time to get controversial.
Comedians didn’t hold back at all and made a variety of jokes, which Brady did not appreciate. The NFL superstar had to rock a smile throughout the roast, but as it turns out, the after-effects were severe.
Brady has revealed that his appearance on the show affected his kids. Nevertheless, when White was given the mic, the CEO dropped one of the night’s most memorable and contentious 60 seconds.
It p*sses me off. I flew all the way out here and you guys give me 60 seconds? My name is Dana, is that not trans enough for you liberal f***s?Dana White via The Roast of Tom Brady
White then went on to brutally roast Brady, and the crowd laughed hysterically. However, it wasn’t that surprising given that White is well-known for expressing his opinion without hesitation. He did the same thing at Donald Trump’s RNC speech, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see more like that from the UFC head honcho.
