The moms of Teen Mom have become celebrities over the years, spending much of their adolescence and twenties on television. From getting pregnant at 16 and starring in MTV’s 16 & Pregnant to continuing to document their lives on MTV’s spin-off series Teen Mom OG and Teen Mom 2 these young women and their families have literally been on television for over a decade.
Over the course of their television career, cameras have captured the highest of highs and the lowest of lows as these women dealt with baby daddy drama, graduating school, parenting woes, and for some, eventually finding happily ever after. But when you’re forced to grow up so fast, sometimes you start making grown-up decisions when you shouldn’t be — like saying yes to an engagement you shouldn’t have.

12 Teen Mom: Cheyenne Floyd
Cheyenne Floyd has been engaged: One time
Cheyenne Floyd was one of the newest moms to join the Teen Mom OG family, but she was no stranger to the world of television. In fact, Floyd appeared on MTV’s Are You the One? and later The Challenge: Rivals III.
After getting pregnant with another The Challenge: Rivals III contestant, Cory Wharton, Cheyenne joined the cast of Teen Mom OG during its seventh season.
Though Cheyenne had hoped that she and Wharton would end up together, that was not the case.
Cheyenne expressed her desire to get married over the years, and that happened in 2022, when Cheyenne married Zach Davis. The two welcomed a child together the year before, with Zach proposing at the baby shower.
11 Teem Mom: Farrah Abraham
Farrah Abraham has been married: Zero times
Farrah Abraham might be the most well-known Teen Mom star for different reasons than staring on the MTV series. Farrah has had her ups and downs after becoming pregnant at 16, only to have her baby’s father die unexpectedly in a car crash before she could tell him he was going to be a father.
Since then, Farrah has had a few public relationships documented on the series before she eventually quit/was fired from the series. Farrah is currently dating but has not quite yet found the one.
10 Teen Mom: Jade Cline
Jade Cline has been engaged: One time
Jade Cline has a bit of a different story than the rest of her Teen Mom co-stars, appearing on the MTV series Teen Mom: Young & Pregnant instead of 16 & Pregnant. Jade ended up joining the cast of Teen Mom 2 during its ninth season, where she replaced Jenelle Eason.
Jade had one child with her then-on-and-off-again boyfriend Sean Austin. Given their tumultuous relationship, it was thought that the two would never get together. But, in 2023, Sean and Jade got married and have talked about growing their family.
9 Teen Mom: Briana DeJesus
Briana DeJesus has been engaged: One time
Briana DeJesus first joined the Teen Mom family appearing on the unsuccessful Teen Mom 3. She later joined the cast of Teen Mom 2 alongside her mother, sister, and daughter Nova.
Since then, Briana has had several of her relationships documented on the reality series. Most notably, she dated Javi Marroquin, another Teen Mom 2 cast member.
While a proposal was never filmed, DeJesus and her family did talk at length about Marroquin’s hope to propose to her. In fact, DeJesus even said that he offered her a ring, but she declined because she wasn’t ready and it wasn’t her “ideal proposal.”
The two did eventually get engaged, but never made it down the aisle.
These days, Briana is the primary caregiver to her girls, Nova and Stella, whose father is Luis Hernandez. Briana is not married.
8 Teen Mom: Chelsea DeBoer
Chelsea DeBoer has been engaged: One time
Chelsea DeBoer spent several years hung up on her high school boyfriend Adam, who failed to step up and help her raise their daughter Aubrey. After finally accepting that he wasn’t the man she wanted him to be, Chelsea eventually met Cole and the rest is history.
Knowing that Chelsea was the one for him, Cole enlisted the help of Chelsea’s daughter Aubrey to plan the proposal. He proposed to Chelsea in the woods in November 2015, alongside Aubrey. The two got married in 2017 and have three children together.
7 Teen Mom: Kailyn Lowry
Kailyn Lowry has been engaged: Two times
Kailyn Lowry has her hands full raising seven kids. This might be why the Teen Mom 2 star took her time with her happily ever after.
Kailyn was engaged once before and ended up getting married.
While things didn’t work with her eldest son’s father, Kailyn eventually met Javi Marroquin and, after getting pregnant with their son Lincoln, the two wed in September 2012. Unfortunately, their marriage did not last and the two have since split.
Today, Kailyn is engaged to Elijah Scott, who is the father of Kailyn’s twins, and gets along well with the rest of Kailyn’s children. A wedding date has not been set.
6 Teen Mom: Catelynn Baltierra
Catelynn Baltierra has been engaged: Two times
Catelynn Baltierra and her husband Tyler have truly withstood the test of time going from middle school sweetheart to husband and wife over the coming decades.
Though Tyler did get down on one knee and propose to Catelynn at the young age of 17, the two did not wed right away. In fact, Tyler ended up calling off the engagement later on when he was having doubts. Thankfully, these two managed to work out their doubts and in 2014, Tyler proposed again, and the two wed in 2015.
5 Teen Mom: Mackenzie McKee
Mackenzie McKee has been engaged: Three times
Much like Catelynn, Mackenzie McKee has been proposed to twice by the same man. Mackenzie McKee appeared on Teen Mom 3 where she quickly became a fan favorite. Mackenzie married her high school sweetheart and baby daddy for the first time in August 2013.
After a rocky relationship, the two ended up filing for divorce but never went through with it. Instead, Josh came to his senses and got down on one knee again to profess his love for Mackenzie. While the two lasted for nine years of marriage with three children, they did not last.
In May 2024, Mackenzie got engaged to her boyfriend of two years, Khesanio Hall. The two have not set a wedding date yet.
4 Teen Mom: Leah Messer
Leah Messer has been engaged: Three times
After the divorce, Leah met Jeremy Calvert and the two got engaged fairly quickly. The two got married in 2012 and later welcomed their baby girl Adalynn a year later. Unfortunately, Leah and Jeremy’s relationship was rocky and Jeremy eventually filed for divorce in 2015, after four years together.
In 2022, Leah got engaged to Jaylan Mobley. But a few months after the engagement, the two called things off. Leah is currently single.
3 Teen Mom: Maci Bookout McKinney
Maci Bookout McKinney has been engaged: 2 times
Maci Bookout is one of the original cast members of Teen Mom having appeared on the first season of 16 & Pregnant. After giving birth to her first son, Bentley, Maci’s boyfriend and baby daddy, Ryan Edwards, proposed to the teen.
Maci and Ryan never wed, and eventually, Maci met her now-husband, Taylor McKinney. McKinney proposed to Maci in 2016 while on a trip to California which was being filmed for the reality series. The two wed in October 2016 and have two children together in addition to Bentley.
2 Teen Mom: Amber Portwood
Amber Portwood has been engaged: Three times
Despite everything the young mom has been through, she has managed to find love several different times.
Amber was first engaged to her boyfriend and baby daddy Gary Shirly. Gary infamously proposed to Amber with a ring he purchased from Walmart. Gary later proposed to Amber again with a proper ring on the beach.
Amber and Gary never married.
Later on, Amber was engaged to Matt Baier. The two never wed either.
In June 2024, Amber was engaged to Gary Wayt. But when Gary disappeared after their engagement, finally resurfacing a short time later, the two called things off. Today, it is believed that Gary is engaged to another woman.
1 Teen Mom: Jenelle Evans
Jenelle Evans has been married: 3 times
Jenelle Evans is another Teen Mom star who has had quite the journey on the series. Though she was an original cast member on Teen Mom 2, the mother of three was eventually fired due to controversy surrounding her then-fiance.
Jenelle has been engaged three times over the course of the series. She was first engaged to Courtland Rogers, a man she met after giving birth to her son. The two married but quickly divorced two years later.
Jenelle later was engaged to her second son’s father for a brief period but the two never married. Janelle was engaged for the third time to David Eason whom she married. The two were together until March 2024, when Jenelle filed for divorce.
