Ganduje Leads APC Governors, Okpebholo To Presidential Villa

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, on Thursday, led a delegation of party governors to the Presidential Villa in Abuja for a meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Naija News understands that the purpose of the meeting was to formally present Monday Okpebholo, the newly elected governor of Edo State, to the President.

Several APC governors accompanied Ganduje, including Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara, Uba Sani of Kaduna, Usman Ododo of Kogi, and Dapo Abiodun of Ogun.

Also present were Edo North Senator, Adams Oshiomhole and Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had announced Okpebholo as the winner of the September 21 governorship election.

However, the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) raised concerns, alleging irregularities during the electoral process. Despite the PDP’s objections, Okpebholo’s victory stands as INEC’s official declaration.

Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially presented the certificate of return to the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Monday Okpebholo, following his victory in the Edo State governorship election.

The presentation took place at the INEC headquarters in Abuja on Thursday, solidifying Okpebholo’s position as the elected governor.
