Eid-el-Maulud: Bala felicitates with Bauchi Muslims

Bauchi state governor, Bala Mohammed, Sunday, felicitated with the Muslim ummah in the state on this year’s Eid-el-Maulud Celebration with urging the faithful to pray for sustained peace in the state and for peace to be restored to states that are currently facing security challenges.

The governor in his goodwill message recalled that Prophet Muhammad had during his life time preached peace, honesty, patience, generosity, humility, sincerity, love for one another and fear of Almighty Allah.

He said the Eid-el-Maulud should be used for sober reflection and self-evaluation by the Muslims to know how well they related with their creator and fellow human beings during the last one year, make amends where necessary and continue to live in peace and harmony with one another despite their ethnic, religious or political differences.

Governor Bala assured that as a responsive and responsible government, his administration was very much worried about the current economic hardship that has made life to the generality of the people extremely difficult, and would do everything possible to mitigate the hardship.

“I appeal to you all to use the occasion of the Eid-el-Maulud to pray for the intervention of Allah (SWT) to bring an end to this calamity. I also appeal to you to pray to Allah (SWT) to protect our state from the flood disaster that has ravaged some parts of the country, especially Borno state. I wish to extend my heartfelt sympathy to the government and people of the affected states, especially victims of the flood disaster.

“Let me use this occasion to reiterate the irrevocable commitment of my government towards the maintenance of law and order. Government would, in collaboration with security agencies, continue to take all measures to ensure the safety of lives and property of people in the state,” said.
