In a much-anticipated return to streaming, Dr Disrespect found himself in a bizarre situation while playing Valve’s new game Deadlock. On September 11, in his first stream back after a two-month hiatus, the infamous streamer jumped into Deadlock only to have his entire team abandon him mid-game, leaving him alone to fight.
Dr Disrespect, who returned to live broadcasting on September 6 after taking a break following accusations of inappropriate messaging with a minor, decided to dive into Deadlock during his September 11 stream. Deadlock is still in its early build stages, but Dr Disrespect was eager to try it out.

He began by going through the game’s tutorial and testing out a few of the playable heroes. After gaining some familiarity with the mechanics, he selected the hero Vindicta for his first real match against live players. However, things quickly took a strange turn. Shortly after the game began, his first teammate, Grey Talon, disconnected following an early death in the match. What started as one player leaving soon became a chain reaction, with the other four players also exiting the game, leaving Dr Disrespect to fend for himself.
Upon realizing he was the only player left, the streamer’s confusion was evident. “Okay! I guess I’m the only one in this one,” he remarked as he tried to keep playing solo. For a few minutes, he attempted to hold his ground, but ultimately, Dr Disrespect quit the match, puzzled by the unusual situation. “I was wondering, why does it feel like there’s no one else [in the game]?” he mused while loading into a second match.

Despite the surprising exit of his team, Dr Disrespect didn’t dwell much on the event. Whether the players left in protest after realizing they were in a match with the controversial streamer or if they simply quit after Grey Talon’s disconnection remains unclear. However, his following matches proceeded smoothly, with no further abandonments, allowing him to fully experience the game.
After a few more rounds of Deadlock, Dr Disrespect switched gears and began playing Escape From Tarkov, continuing his stream without addressing the earlier incident.

The event has sparked mixed reactions online, with many viewers taking to social media to share their thoughts. One viewer joked, “Lmao..I almost want to see a video of his reaction to this.” Others, however, didn’t hold back their criticism, with one user saying, “They didn’t want to be on a team with a pedophile,” referencing the controversy surrounding the streamer. Another quipped, “Nobody would play with him so he went to Tarkov and is silently playing alone.”

Dr Disrespect has long been a divisive figure in the gaming world, and his recent return to streaming has only reignited the conversation surrounding him. Despite the controversy, his fanbase remains loyal, as evidenced by his high viewer count during the stream. It’s clear that his presence in the gaming community is far from fading, even as he navigates the fallout from his past actions. Whether the streamer’s return to prominence will smooth over past controversies or continue to draw mixed reactions remains to be seen. For now, Dr Disrespect seems determined to keep pushing forward, one game at a time.
