Christine Quinn's Divorce Settlement Has Caused More Questions Than Answers

Selling Sunset alum Christine Quinn is used to shocking tabloid headlines because of her villainous role in the Netflixreality TV show, but now the headlines center around her ongoing divorce and custody battle. One of the biggest question marks will be what Christine’s divorce settlement is after being married for four years and enduring alleged domestic violence outbursts from her soon-to-be ex.

Both Christine and her estranged husband, Christian Dumontlet (also known as Christian Richard), filed for divorce from one another in April 2024 after an alleged assault occurred in their marital home where their son, Christian Gorges, was implicated. Now, the former reality TV couple have taken each other to court to speak the truth about what happened during the demise of their relationship. But with a classic “he said, she said” series of events, there are a lot of questions surrounding Christine’s possible divorce settlement.

Christine Quinn’s Divorce Is Ongoing

In the spring of 2024, Selling Sunset’s Christine Quinn’s husband of four years, Christian Dumontet, was arrested for domestic violence, as reported by People. A public information officer told People, “The suspect threw a bag containing a glass bottle at the victim, missed the victim, but the object hit the victim’s child causing injury.” The next day, Christian was arrested again for ignoring the emergency protective order and entering the marital home.

I reported these acts of abuse to law enforcement because they were true and because I feared for our safety.

Shortly after the incident, both Christine and Christian filed for divorce. The divorce settlement leaves more questions than answers as the former couple continues to duke it out in court. The Daily Mail reported that the court documents didn’t mention a prenuptial agreement, leading to even more questions about spousal support, child support, and alimony.

Christine has made shocking allegations against her estranged husband. On the day of the arrest, E! News reported that Christine told police officers that she and Christian got into an argument over their relationship. When he didn’t like where the conversation was going, he “became very angry” and threw objects at her. He later allegedly poured soda on their bed, threw excrement at her, and urinated on the floor of their bedroom in spite.

Christine and Christian met and married in the same year.

The most shocking detail was that Christian threw a bag containing broken glass at Christine, which missed her and hit their 2-year-old son instead. Christine called paramedics and claimed she “saw brown glass in our son’s hair and on the floor.” Their son suffered bruises and cuts from broken glass.

According to court documents obtained by E! News, Christine had even more shocking revelations about Christian’s behavior.

  • Christine accused Christian of changing the code to gated property. “I cannot even retrieve any of my or my son’s personal belongings because they are all inside the house,” she stated.
  • Christine told the court that her husband never paid $100,000 worth of medical bills after the traumatic birth of their son. The unpaid bills were in her name and were sent to collections, affecting her credit.
  • Because of the toxic events leading up to their divorce, Christine has filed for full, physical custody of their son.
  • The Daily Mail said legal docs claimed she fears Christian’s manipulation tactics. “I am extremely concerned that Christian will go to any lengths necessary, including great emotional manipulation, as a means to monitor my activity while the restraining order is in effect,” she shared.

While Christine’s allegations are damaging, Christian had his side of the story.

  • Perez Hilton shared that Christian allegedly had a conversation with Christine about the state of their bedroom. In court documents, he shared that Christine was “laying on the bed, with cleaning items, soda cans, and food waste haphazardly strewn around the room.”
  • After asking Christine to tidy up her mess, she refused, leading to him throwing the trash bag to the side of the room.
  • Christian and his legal team deny throwing the bag at Christine or their son.
  • TMZ reported that, like Christine, Christian is also asking for full custody of their son.

Los Angeles Magazine shared in June 2024 that the domestic violence and child endangerment case against Christian was delayed and ongoing.
