Manchester City are reportedly interested in a shocking move for Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala, next summer. The 21-year-old German prodigy, however, might cost in excess of £100 million for the Premier League giants.
Jamal Musiala’s contract at Bayern Munich lasts until 2026. The club has long been hoping to tie him down at Munich, by offering him a lucrative new contract that could make him one of the highest earners in the German league. Musiala, however, is yet to sign any such contract and has also stalled talks of extending his current association with Bayern, owing to transfer interest from a number of prominent clubs including Real Madrid, Manchester City and PSG.
Recent reports indicate that the midfielder’s time at the Allianz Arena might come to an end next summer, with Manchester City interested in signing him. The Cityzens might offer a massive £100 million contract to sign him in 2025. In case they move for Musiala, it would be the City’s most expensive buy alongside Jack Grealish’s £100 million transfer from Aston Villa. Moreover, he might replace Kevin De Bruyne at the Etihad, with the Belgian being linked to the Saudi Pro League.

Meanwhile, Chelsea, Musiala’s former club, retains a 20 percent sell-on clause over the player’s sale, and would also benefit from a transfer to Man City. It remains to be seen what comes ahead for Musiala, who scored 12 goals in 37 matches for Bayern, last season.
Barcelona enter race for Bayern Munich transfer target Jonathan Tah
Bayern Munich’s hopes of securing a transfer for Leverkusen center-back Jonathan Tah has hit a new hurdle, following Barcelona’s decision to enter the transfer race. The 28-year-old will be available for free next summer, and is expected to attract a fierce transfer battle between the two clubs.
Barcelona’s interest in the German defender came to light after the club initiated contact with his agent, Pini Zahavi. Blaugrana manager Hansi Flick is reportedly interested in acquiring the defender, who played a massive role in Leverkusen’s 2023-24 title campaign. Meanwhile, it increases competition for Bayern, who have been open about their interest in signing him, having already agreed on personal terms.
The Bavarian giants had hoped to acquire the 28-year-old this summer, but the Bundesliga champions decided to hang onto their star defender. He has not renewed his contract at Leverkusen, and is expected to move out next summer.
