
Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state Wednesday flagged off the construction of 38 kilometres road worth over 11 billion from Bara-Hashidu-Tubule-Garin Malam Julde-Wanka in Kirfi local government area.
The governor also flagged off the rehabilitation of Alkaleri -Kirfi worth over N6 billion.
Speaking at the occasion, Governor Bala said the flagging off of the projects is a milestone in the fulfillment of his campaign promised of transforming rural communities for rural development.
The governor said already 30 percent of the funds for the projects have been released to the contractors to facilitate the commencement of the projects for timely completion.
Governor Bala noted that infrastructure projects embarked upon by his administration would go a long way in enhancing socio economic development for the rapid development of the state.
On his part, the Commissioner for Works and Transport, Ibrahim Gambo Galadima, appreciated Governor Mohammed for supporting the ministry to deliver on its mandate for infrastructure development.
