‘At Labour Party, We Offer Genuine Leadership’ – Peter Obi Tells Edo Voters

The former presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has called on Edo citizens to vote for the party’s candidate, Olumide Akpata.

Peter Obi said only the Labour Party offers candidates that can give genuine leadership in the country.

The former presidential candidate told Edo voters that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has fake leaders that cannot offer any good things.

He also enjoined the voters to shun the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) following Governor Godwin Obaseki‘s threat of do or die election.

The former Anambra State Governor said LP believes that election is not war. Obi stated that the Saturday governorship election is an opportunity for the citizens to elect authentic leadership and drive meaningful development.

He explained that the LP candidate, Olumide Akpata, will give the state the needed development.

On his X handle, on Friday, Obi wrote, “As campaign for the Edo governorship election on 21st September 2024 comes to an end today. troubling comments continue to emerge. One party admits to having packaged fake leaders in the past—who knows what they offer now, perhaps expired ones—while another insists it is a do-or-die affair.

“At Labour Party, we offer genuine leadership built on competence, capacity and compassion. For us, elections are not war; they are opportunities to present authentic leadership and drive meaningful development.”
