As Survivor 47 Approaches, The Three Starting Tribes Are Finally Revealed

We are just days away from the premiere of Survivor, and we are finally starting to get some sneak peeks as to what the supersized premiere of season 47 will entail.




As of September 10, photos from the marooning challenge have been shared by CBS. While the challenge looks like it will consist of heavy chests, tiny rowboats, and more, the most telling information to come from said photos is the tribe divisions, revealing that Survivor 47 will begin with a three-tribe format.

This was not a surprise to fans of the franchise, as Survivor has been utilizing a three-tribe format ever since it’s “New Era” began in 2021.

Nonetheless, although the Season 47 cast has been known for quite some time, longtime Survivor writer and reporter Mike Bloom used the photos to sleuth out which castaways will be in which tribes (named Gata, Lavo, and Tuku):



The Gata Tribe
