Aromolaran’s demise: Owa-in-council declares curfew, 7-day mourning

The Ogboni of Ipole-Ijesa, Oba Oyegbade Samson Oyeleye, has announced a 3-day closure of market for the late Owa Obokun of Ijesaland, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran.

He also said seven- day mourning has been declared for the late monarch.

In a video obtained by our correspondent, Thursday, Oba Oyeleye, who spoke on behalf of Owa-in-council, said all markets would be closed starting from Friday till Sunday.

“There will be curfew from today, starting from 10pm to 6am. From tomorrow morning all markets shall be closed in all of ijesaland for 3 days.

“Because our king reigns all over ijesaland, including Ilesa west, east, Atakumosa east, West, Oriade and Obokun local government areas of Osun state, we implore all residents of Ijesaland to take note of this announcement. The curfew will start from Wednesday and run through 7 days,” Oba Oyeleye said.
