Aisha Yesufu
Popular Nigerian activist, Aisha Yesufu has responded after she was accused of working to bring down controversial social media critic, Martins Vincent Otse aka Very Dark Man.
Recall that a few days ago, Aisha backed the Falanas for demanding a retraction and an apology from VDM over the commentary he gave while publishing a purported audio conversation between Bobrisky and an unidentified man.
This is coming after Very Dark Man released a purported audio conversation between Bobrisky and a man where the crossdresser allegedly claimed that Falz reached out to him saying his father, Femi Falana, could help him secure a presidential pardon with 10 million naira, so his name would be cleared from criminal records.
VDM in his reaction, expressed disgust that the Falanas could associate with Bobrisky. He said ‘’abi Falz dey do’ which some people interpreted as him questioning Falz’s s3xual orientation. The Falanas have said they will be taking him to court.
Last week, Aisha in her reaction said if the Falanas allow their ‘’rift’ with VDM slide, it would be perceived as though they are guilty of whatever allegation that was levelled against them in the audio recording Very Dark Man released.
Some Nigerians however accused her of working with the Falanas to bring VDM down.
Reacting to the claim of attempting to pull VDM down, Aisha in a post shared on her X handle stated that no one has the right to tarnish someone’s reputation.
She wrote;
‘’I have just seen an accusation that all I am interested in is to bring VDM down
As in because I want to do his work or I want to be helping people?
I have said here severally, I do not want to help people. I just want people to not need my help and anyone that takes on whatever, actually helps me to be my lazy self.
Anyway, whether anyone is fighting for anyone or not, it doesn’t give anyone the right to tarnish anyone’s hard earned reputation.
Also that someone has a name is not a reason for them to not fight those who try to tarnish their reputation.
THAT BE THE BIGGER PERSON NONSENSE HAS TO STOP!”
