Formula 1 is the pinnacle of motorsport, particularly in terms of four-wheelers. While MotoGP takes the crown when it comes to two-wheeler racing. Unfortunately, MotoGP was seemingly in a decline in recent years. However, things are likely to change for the sport following Liberty Media’s acquisition. McLaren CEO Zak Brown revealed that many in the F1 paddock were fans of the two-wheeler series.
Earlier this year, Formula 1’s commercial rights owner Liberty Media acquired MotoGP for $4.5 billion. This could allow the two-wheeler series to adopt a new strategy to once again get momentum in terms of viewership. Moreover, Lewis Hamilton has revealed that he might soon buy Marc Marquez’s current MotoGP team.
Zak Brown visited the MotoGP grid this weekend for the British GP as Formula 1 is currently on summer break. The 52-year-old claimed that everyone in the F1 paddock is a fan of the two-wheeler category as it has some of the best racing in the world.

Zak Brown claims battle between McLaren and Red Bull ‘definitely on’ for 202 title
McLaren has emerged as the main contender to Max Verstappen and Red Bull this year. The Woking-based team has narrowed the points gap in the Constructors’ standings courtesy of Sergio Perez‘s inconsistency. During the MotoGP weekend, Zak Brown affirmed that the battle for the team’s title was on and his team had every chance to win its first championship since 2008.
It’s been a great start to the year. We are a little bit more than halfway through. The Constructors’ championship race is definitely on… We can get that, lot of hard work still required of course.

Certainly, Zak Brown is trying to enjoy his time away from Formula 1 before things get hectic once again. The Woking-based team has a lot of work to do if they want to prevent mistakes in their fight against Verstappen. Even Lando Norris has confessed that he has given away points on multiple occasions this season. As such, fans would be hoping to see things go back on track for the British team in the second half of the 2024 season.
