President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of the governing councils of 13 federal universities and tertiary institutions.
The president appointed Temi Harriman as chairman of the governing council of the Nigerian Maritime University and Adeola Adeogun, Benedict Aguel, Freeman Kasa and Babangida Alhassan Abdullahi as members.
Rabe Mudi Bala chairs the governing council of the of Nigerian University of Science and Technology Abuja while Mr Akinola Fagbemi, Rakiatou Bagnou, Alwel Egwurugu and Femi Osabinu would serve as members.
The governing council of the Federal University of Agriculture Bassan-Biri is chaired by Bram Baifa while Richard Odigbo, Yomi Johnson, Fatima Owuna and Christy Akpehuan Omoruyi would serve as members.
Ahmadu Barau Banye Salisu is the new chairman of the governing council of the Federal University of Health Seciences Kwale while Aragbaye Oluwatosin Gbolagunte, Talban Bauchi, Akaninodo Kehinde Adekunle and Chibuike Ikenga would serve as members.
The governing council of the Federal University of Medical Sciences Katsina is chaired by Habib Mohammed Ibrahim while Yau Aisha Abdulkadir, Shehu Kaka, Ibrahim Umar Abbah and Isijola Rasaki would serve as members.
Rukayyatu Abdulkareem Gurin chairs the governing council of the Federal University of Agriculture Mubi while Peter Tanko Dogara, Amina Ibrahim Ndala, Owolabi Shamsideen Oseni and Olufemi Lawson would serve as members.
Yusuf Mohammed is the new chairman of the governing council of Admiralty University Ibusa while Sani Ndanusa, Abdul Oroh, Mary Okaba Agbo and Omasan Agbajoh would serve as members.
The governing council of Nigeria French Village is chaired by Labiru Musa Kafur while Ibitoye Victor Philips, Bamgbose S, Musa Ayas amd Ogenyi Okpokwu Emmanuel would serve as members.
Victor O. Ukaogo chairs the governing council of the National Institute of Nigerian Languages Aba while Anjare Samuel, David Turuka Ismaila, Adimchinaka Onwukwe and Princess Ify Ugo Okoye would serve as members.
