SuperSport Park in Centurion was abuzz with excitement this past Saturday as thousands of women gathered for the SPAR Women’s Challenge Tshwane 2024.
The road race drew some of the country’s top professional female athletes, including Olympians and top competitors in various age groups.
Thousands of participants took part and pushed themselves to achieve their personal goals while having fun along the way.
Participants were rewarded with the legendary SPAR Women’s Challenge goodie bags packed with exciting treats and surprises.
Those who didn’t need or want the goodie bag items were encouraged to donate them at donation bins set up at the event.
This gesture added an extra layer of meaning to an already inspiring day.
For the country’s most outstanding female runners, the event was more than just a fun run.
It was also a crucial stop in the Grand Prix series that allowed the elite athletes to score points across six SPAR Women’s Challenge 10km races. where top performers were eligible for cash prizes and other rewards.
