Everyone, from fans to Bravo host Andy Cohen, agrees that Luis Ruelas went too far with his angry comments, but Teresa Giudice still defended his outburst.

“I hope Margaret and her family suffer. I hope her f****** son suffers the way I suffer, the way other people in our family have suffered dealing with a woman like that. She’s a disgusting, vile human being,” Luis said in a heated conversation with Teresa on the show. “She’s here to take advantage of everything that’s going on, and she’s a real piece of garbage.”

Margaret was very upset and claimed she “had to make the sign of the cross” after hearing his comment. “That’s disgusting,” she stated.

Despite this, Teresa defended her husband, saying he only said that because he was angry and emotional, and that his complaint wasn’t unfounded.

“Listen, my kids suffered! My stepson suffered. My daughters suffered.”

Dolores Catania warned Teresa that she and Luis would “get s***” for that, but she simply replied, “I don’t care.” She also told Dolores not to “stick up for” Margaret and asked that her castmates “drop” the subject.

“He was upset. People make mistakes,” she said. “I know he did not mean to say that. I’ll make sure he says sorry.”

Whether it was because Teresa asked him to, as she said she would, or because he had time to reflect on his own, Luis Ruelas recently apologized for his comments about Margaret’s son. He acknowledges he went too far and crossed a line by getting people’s children involved.

“The finale was very tough for me to watch and I wanted to address it with you all. After watching the finale, I was disappointed in my actions in bringing up Margaret Josephs’ son.” Luis said on his Instagram.

Without justifying his actions, he explained why he was so upset and lashed out.

“The reason he was even brought up was because I have been dealing with being falsely accused of calling Margaret’s son at his work which is simply not true. For the last year Margaret kept putting this narrative out there that I called her son at work and I have to deal with it knowing I am being lied on.”

“Still, I know better not to bring someone’s child up and it is something I deeply regret so I do want to apologize and acknowledge that I was wrong.”
