Former NBA player Stephon Marbury caused a frenzy when he threw a diss at Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James on social media. The former New York Knicks guard responded to a post on X (formerly known as Twitter) that claimed James wasn’t better than Michael Jordan.
Furthermore, there’s a rumor that this diss may have been triggered after an encounter between LeBron James and Marbury at the Paris Summer Olympic Games. During their meet, the recently crowned gold medalist and MVP seemed to have ignored the former Knicks player, who then downplayed it on X.

Apparently, the GOAT debate never ends as Marbury has joined his voice in the conversation, albeit on the side of the six-time NBA and Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan’s six NBA titles currently trumps King James’ four at the moment. However, fans of James can point to his recent Olympic gold medal, which was Team USA’s most difficult in recent memory, as an advantage he has over His Airness.
LeBron James “super-humbled” by Olympic MVP honors
LeBron James was crowned as the MVP in the Paris Olympics men’s basketball tournament. According to Marc J. Spears of Andscape, King James showed his appreciation for the honor after he helped take down host France 98-87 in the final game of the tournament.

James ended the tournament with 14.2 PPG, 8.5 APG, and 6.8 RPG. And with him ruling himself out from the next tournament on home soil, it was a nice way to end his run with the national team as the nation’s flag bearer and a worthy champion.
