Savannah Isn’t Hopeful About Her Parents’ Fates
During the August 13 episode of her Unlocked podcast, she admitted that she’s doing her best not to let hope take over. “I’m trying not to get my hopes up because, let’s face it, a lot of things within this legal battle have not gone our way,” she confessed.
The Chrisley family first burst onto the scene in 2014 with their hit reality show, Chrisley Knows Best, which ran for nearly a decade until 2023. The show followed the lavish lifestyle and quirky antics of the wealthy Chrisley clan, led by patriarch Todd and his sharp-witted wife, Julie. T
The couple, who have been married for over 25 years, captivated audiences with their southern charm, tight-knit family dynamics, and Todd’s penchant for perfectionism. But as the cameras rolled, trouble was brewing behind the scenes.
In 2022, the Chrisleys were convicted on 12 counts of financial crimes, including bank fraud and tax evasion. Their once-glamorous lives came crashing down as they were sentenced to a combined 19 years in federal prison.
Todd and Julie were handed their sentences in January 2023, with Todd facing 12 years behind bars and Julie 7 years. However, in a surprising turn of events, their sentences were reduced in September 2023, giving Julie a release date of October 2028 and Todd a release in January 2033.
Julie’s Appeal For Resentencing Was Granted
Despite the hefty sentences, the Chrisleys have maintained their innocence, fighting tooth and nail to clear their names. Savannah recently found a glimmer of hope when the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals discovered that the original trial judge had miscalculated Julie’s sentence.

Since Chrisley Knows Best made Savannah Chrisley famous, her life has changed a lot but that doesn’t necessarily mean she has gotten rich.
A resentencing hearing is now set for September, and while Savannah’s dreams of her mom coming home are becoming more vivid, she’s not letting herself get carried away.
“That’s the only dreams that I’ve had recently,” Savannah revealed on her podcast. “It’s just her coming home and her being at home to the point that I wake up and I’m kind of disoriented. I’m like, ‘Wait. What is happening?’ Because it feels so real.”
She added, “And I’m trying not to get my hopes up because, let’s face it, a lot of things within this legal battle have not gone our way.”
She’s keeping her feet firmly on the ground, stating, “So I expect the worst, and anything else that is better than that is a win.”
The Chrisley saga has been anything but smooth sailing. Since their conviction, the family has been embroiled in an exhausting legal battle, trying to overturn the charges that have torn their family apart. Despite the setbacks, Savannah is hanging in there, ready for whatever comes next.
