Saudi Arabia made ripples around the globe by rolling out the detailed plan of 15 venues in five cities, a few of which have already been built while the others are in progress. One of the most talked about venues is a ground in Riyadh which will be housing a seating capacity of 92760 and will be completed by 2029.
In a bid to land the 2034 World Cup, where it has been confirmed that only Asia and Oceania countries will be able to compete, Saudi Arabia leads the race by a proverbial mile. With the latest roll-out of the futuristic stadium plans, it is almost confirmed that there is no beating them in the race to bagging the quadrennial extravaganza.
In a post released on X, from the official handle of Saudi Arabia FIFA World Cup 2034 bid, a video was being shown which highlighted the entire plan, detailing the names of the stadiums and how closely they are located.
With all the bigger sports arriving in Saudi Arabia that saw the footfall of golf, boxing, Formula 1 and renowned names in football, they are now eyeing for the prized World Cup in 2034 which will be a monumental step for the country and also as shown in the video, the game as well.
The stadium in Riyadh has been named King Salman International Stadium, which will eventually serve as the home team for Saudi Arabia. It is the one that is supposed to house the aforementioned number of 92760 spectators. In another spectacular venue which is situated in Neom, the pitch is going to be 350 metres above the ground which is one of a kind.
