Gypsy Rose Blanchard makes her reality TV debut in the biggest way this year. The 33-year-old not only has her own series on Lifetime, but she appeared opposite Kim Kardashian in The Kardashians season 5 this summer.
As Gypsy encounters more media storms in her thirties, talk turns from her past and her reality TV show appearances to the fact she’s a mom-to-be. Gypsy split from husband Ryan Anderson in March this year after getting married while she was in prison two years ago. She got into a relationship with her ex-fiancé Ken Urker in April and now the two are expecting their first child together.
Gypsy Rose’s gender reveal
This August, Gypsy Rose excitedly takes to Instagram to share that she’s going to be a “girl mom.”
She and Ken shared their gender reveal with the world and posted some adorable snaps to the ‘gram celebrating this time in their lives.
Speaking on Good Morning America in mid-July, Gypsy said she felt a “mixture of emotions” when she found out she was pregnant.
She said how she really wants to be a “good mother to her child,” and wants to give them “all the things they could want in life.”
Gypsy’s due to welcome her baby in January 2025.
Gypsy has ‘no doubts’ about the paternity test
Although Gypsy’s ex, Ryan, is set to complete a paternity test now that she’s pregnant, she has “no questions” regarding “paternity.”
JuJu Chang asks Gypsy about the paternity: “To be clear, you haven’t been with your ex since…”
Gypsy clears up any confusion around the relationship timeline: “It was mid-March when I left Ryan, so this is absolutely, 100 per cent Ken’s baby. There was never any question of paternity.”
Speaking of Ryan’s take on the whole scenario, Gypsy said how she “hopes he’s OK emotionally,” adding: “I wish him the best, emotionally. But, right now, I haven’t had a moment to stop and think about anyone else.”
She adds how she’s “clicked into maternal mode” as she says she’s doing all she can to be “healthy for this baby.”
When it comes to the reason Ryan is having to take a paternity test, it doesn’t actually have any relation to doubts on his or Gypsy’s part.
The DNA test has to be taken for legal reasons.
Speaking on TikTok, Ryan said: “I have to take a DNA test for court. I don’t have a choice. The way the timeline matches up – I don’t think it’s mine. But, I don’t know…”.
Ryan added how he “hates the situation,” as he navigates a divorce while Gypsy is expecting.
A DNA test is reportedly a “part of the procedure to establish paternity for separated couples who are still legally married, according to Louisiana state law.”
