According to the team, Wayne was actually rapping, “They don’t like us,” while holding up his OVO Sound chain, which represents Drake’s brand. This clarification helped quell some of the concerns about a possible falling out between the two rappers, but doubts lingered about the status of their relationship.

The speculation took another turn in early August when The Weeknd, who is reportedly feuding with Drake, posted a photo of Lil Wayne wearing an XO chain—The Weeknd’s label—on his Instagram Story. The image reignited debates about where Wayne’s loyalties truly lay, especially given the ongoing tensions between The Weeknd and Drake.

But on August 26, 2024, Lil Wayne seemingly put all the rumors to rest by reposting Drake’s new song “No Face” to his Instagram Story. This public show of support appeared to confirm that there is no bad blood between the two artists. Wayne’s gesture reassured fans that his relationship with Drake remains as strong as ever, despite the swirling rumors.

Fans quickly took to social media to react to Wayne’s repost, with many expressing relief that the beef rumors had been put to bed. “Think that puts the beef rumors to rest,” wrote one user on X (formerly Twitter). Another user commented, “Even Wayne knows Drake won,” referring to Drake’s high-profile rap feud with Kendrick Lamar earlier in the year.
