Kim Kardashian fans are still fuming she travelled on her private jet for dessert when pregnant. She made the journey to Paris in June 2015, but her fans simply cannot drop their anger as it keeps resurfacing.
From Taylor Swift to The Kardashians, celebrities often face fury from eco-conscious fans who fret about their carbon footprint. Kim Kardashian decided to spend her miles on one particular sweet treat when she was carrying her eldest daughter North West.
Kim Kardashian flew to Paris for one day
Kim Kardashian travelled in her private jet to Paris in 2015 for just one sweet treat, and travelled back home in the same day. She revealed the trip in 2015, when she told Vogue about a specific cheesecake.
She took the 10-hour trip from Los Angeles while pregnant with her first child, North, as she wanted to curb a craving. However, they didn’t have the cheesecake available when she made her arrival.
“When I arrive, they inform me that they are out of stock. And I said, ‘You’re not understanding! I’m going tomorrow!’” Kim revealed in the resurfaced interview, adding she wanted her “last hurrah”.
She devoured one cheesecake
The cheesecake from Hotel Montes, in Paris, costing 14 euros ($18), was devoured by Kim after some arrangements from staff to make exceptions due to how far she traveled. Despite her general dislike of cheesecake, she called this particular dessert “heaven”.
“I flew in just to have a last hurrah of all the food that I’m not going to be able to have for a while,” she told Vogue. “And they said ‘OK, we’re going to get it! And they got it and it really made my day.”
Eating is her favorite thing to do in Paris.
She said: “I love going to L’Avenue. I love going to Hotel Costes. There’s also a restaurant called Ferdi! They’re hamburgers. It’s [the restaurant] so tiny.”
Fans ask if ‘Kim cares’ for the planet
Years later, angry Kardashians fans are still asking if Kim cares about the planet. A Reddit thread was launched discussing the unnecessary trip she made to Paris for the cheesecake.
One fan wrote, “It’s disgusting. On top of this, they throw parties every alternate day like it’s nothing. The amount of plastic waste at their events is appalling, too.” Another claimed she “lives in a parallel universe”.
“Virtue signalling and pretension doesn’t help the planet, either. At least when Kim wastes fuel, she got the cheesecake. What did you get?” clapped back a loyal Kardashians fan.
