The official cast of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has been released, with actress Jennifer Tilly as a friend of the cast!
Sutton Stracke was happy to show her “the ropes,” and as Jennifer learned and enjoyed the drama of reality TV, she got to the conclusion that this was one of the hardest things she ever had to do in her career.
Sutton Stracke Coached Jennifer Tilly When She Joined RHOBH
Sutton Stracke was one of the Housewives who helped Jennifer Tilly the most when she joined the show. The two of them became very close, and she showed her “the ropes” when she had no idea what to expect.
“I’m so happy I get to spend more time with Sutton because in the last few years, since she’s been on Housewives, now I understand it’s so intensive and I didn’t get to see as much of her as I like,” Jennifer said to PEOPLE.
Jennifer really appreciates her friend taking the time to make sure she’s comfortable in the show.
“She’s great because she’s kind of showing me the ropes because it’s a little intimidating,” Jennifer explained. “She’s a stellar Housewife… [She’s] very forthright, like, ‘You need to do this or you need to do that.’”
Sutton was happy to help and had a lot of fun seeing the differences between a scripted show and a reality TV show.
“Seeing [her] come on with us, I’m like, ‘No, no, no, we don’t cut. We don’t say action because it’s not scripted — you actually just talk,’” Sutton said.
“It’s way harder than acting,” Jennifer concluded after experiencing both. “You’re actually just kind of making it up as you go along. You’re real. We’re being real.”
Jennifer Loves The RHOBH Drama
Jennifer Tilly was a long-time fan of the Real Housewives franchise and was excited to join the show. While she had to adjust to the different dynamic, she quickly learned to enjoy the spontaneity of it and had a lot of fun.
“To me, it’s like working with Martin Scorsese,” Jennifer said about joining the show.
“My boyfriend always says if he got $40 million, he wants to go into space and experience zero gravity. To me, being on Housewives is experiencing zero gravity. I was more excited to meet Kyle Richards and Erika Jayne and the other ladies than I was when I met Elizabeth Taylor.”

This strange and fascinating experience was very entertaining to her, and she quickly learned to thrive on drama.
“You come in without a script. It’s just sort of like they just wade in there, and they go at it,” she gushed.
“In real life, if you’re at a restaurant and people at the table are screaming at each other, you’re mortified like, ‘Oh my God. I can’t believe I’m with these uncouth people.’ But when I am sitting at a table with Housewives, I feel like I have a front-row seat at the Super Bowl.”
