Group begs Tinubu to return APC chairmanship to North Central

A group, Concerned North Central APC Stakeholders has appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to use his office to resolve the issues regarding the zoning of party chairmanship back to the North Central zone where the seat originally belongs.

The group made the appeal in a statement Thursday signed by its converner  Mohammed Saidu Etsu and available to journalists.

He said the North Central Zone is the party’s strongest zone politically because five out of the six states in the zone are controlled by the party.

He urged the President to correct the injustice done to the zone in order to consolidate on the acceptance of the party in the North Central.

“We urge Mr. President to consolidate this acceptance of our party in the zone by rewarding the hardwork of our party members in the zone.

” But more importantly, by ensuring that the Chairmanship of the party is zoned back to the North Central, the president will be ensuring that the yearlong injustice to the zone is righted.

“Since the last reorganisation of the party, all the zones where positions where reshuffled have been adequately replaced except for the North Central that has still been left in the cold.

“We want to also take our seat in the comity of our peers,” the statement read in part.
