The F1 and NASCAR community recently had back and forth over who has the best driver following Kyle Larson’s claim that he is the better all-round racer than Max Verstappen. These debates have also sprouted discussions over the lack of crossover between the two premier racing championships, that deprives Motorsports the opportunity to identify who is actually the best.
Recently via his podcast, Joe Gibbs Racing veteran Denny Hamlin talked about the debate and gave his verdict. He admitted that any debates on who is the best is often pointless because of the huge difference in racing background of both drivers. The discussion then shifted to the possibility of Max Verstappen racing for 23XI Racing in NASCAR. Hamlin, who co-owns the team had a good response to it.

He pointed out that it is possible to make it happen but, given Verstappen agrees and he comes in without the Red Bull sponsorship. He went onto explain that he doesn’t see it happening and pointed out that fans have better odds of seeing Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes racing in NASCAR. He also named Daniel Ricciardo as another F1 driver who might try NASCAR.

The veteran racer pointed out that the Larson vs Verstappen is a tough argument to have and asserted that the root of drivers determined their racing prowess. He pointed out that it’s a silly argument that Verstappen can beat Kyle Larson in Sprint car and the other side of the argument is silly as well.
I just think that it's such a tough argument to have. And you're going to be good at whatever you practiced and grew up doing. So, yes, Kyle Larson definitely will beat Max Verstappen in a dirt sprint car race. Because that's what Kyle Larson's been doing for forever. That's a silly argument.Denny Hamlin said.
The points made buy the three times Daytona 500 winner makes a lot of sense, as if there is no neutral event to test who is better of the two, then the arguments made are pointless. It would be interesting to see if racing fans can ever see a Larson-Verstappen race.
