Real Housewives of Orange County John Janssen and Alexis Bellino have been together for 9 months, but are completely sure of their love for each other and didn’t want to waste any time. During their 9-month-anniversary celebration, John gave Alexis a very special present: a diamond ring.
John and Alexis’ engagement comes in the middle of a heated feud with John’s ex, Shannon Beador, with the couple recently threatening to expose footage from the night of the reality TV star’s DUI, but for now, they are focused on happier occasions.
John Janssen Proposed To Alexis Bellino On Their 9-Month Anniversary
She was over the moon and immediately accepted, and later took to social media to share the happy news.
“On Cloud 9,” she wrote in an Instagram post, “celebrating 9 months of love and laughter, and looking forward to my forever with you.”
“Every moment together has been a gift. I am so in love with you and the beautiful life we’re building together with our kids. And the answer is 100000000% yes,” she announced.
“1 Corinthians 13:13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
The picture showed the two of them sitting on a bench with their arms around each other, and Alexis was sporting a massive ring. In case there were any doubts about what the post meant, a source then spoke to PEOPLE and confirmed the couple had taken that step.
“John & Alexis are happily engaged, and look forward to their long future together as husband and wife,” the insider said.
Alexis And John’s Feud With Shannon Beador
Alexis and John’s relationship was controversial from the beginning, mostly due to John’s past with another RHOC star, Shannon Beador. They split up in September 2023, shortly after Shannon’s DUI scandal. According to Alexis, they instantly clicked.
“We tried to fight the feelings after week two, John and I knew that was it,” she said back in July. “I don’t know Shannon, [I’m] not friends with Shannon, and unfortunately, your heart wants what it wants and here we are. Take us or leave us.”
While things between the three of them were peaceful initially, they quickly devolved into a harsh feud, and Alexis recently threatened to ruin Shannon’s reputation with videos John had of the night of her DUI. Apparently, something horrifying is shown in the footage, and Alexis is enraged.
“John ended up calling her right before we left, and Shannon did something, and he said ‘All gloves are off’ and they’re going to release these videos of Shannon,” Katie Ginella said of a conversation with Alexis. “There’s Ring footage cameras of her almost running over his daughter.”
Before finding out about those shocking events depicted in the footage, Alexis was ready to release just out of spite, because she believes Shannon has been treating John unfairly.
“I get really worked up about John,” Alexis explained. “Because the man is nothing but kind, generous, loving, caring. Unfortunately, Shannon has ruined John’s reputation throughout the community. If she wasn’t still going around making lies about him, I wouldn’t be on a hellpath.”
Maybe, now that the happy couple are focused on the next chapter of their lives, they can put this feud behind them.
