Kaduna lawmaker lauds Uba Sani over intervention in education sector

A member of Kaduna State House of Assembly representing Zaria city constituency and chairman of the House Committee on Education, Mahmud Lawal has hailed the state Governor, Senator Mallam Uba Sani, for bringing rapid intervention in education sector.

He stated this at the 28 graduation ceremony of Centre for Human Resource Development and Empowerment Initiative organized jointly by National Open University’s Centre for Human Resource Development held at the University.

He stated that in order to salvage education 26% of the state budget should allocated to education sector with view improve education.

According to him, 100 Junior Secondary Schools were upgraded to Senior Secondary Schools and fully equipped.

“It is worthy to note that the Government had established 3 skills acquisition centre for the youths and women in the 3 Senatorial Districts of the state.

“Kaduna state Government under our able Governor’s efforts is focused attention in addressing the issue of drop out school children have resulted in the successful return of 10,000 Students, underscoring the release of 205 million naira to the State Scholarship and Loan Board which also another great achievement of;the Governor on education,” he said.

While congratulating the graduating students, said “your journey to this point has been marked by countless hours of study, perseverance, and personal growth.
“Today, we come together to recognize and celebrate your accomplishments, as you stand on the threshold of a new chapter in your lives.

“As you move forward from this day, remember the lessons learned within these walls, the friendships forged, and the experiences that have shaped you. Embrace the challenges that lie ahead with courage and determination, knowing that you are equipped with the knowledge and skills to succeed.

“To the parents, family members, and friends who have supported these graduates along the way, your guidance, love, and encouragement have been instrumental in their success.Today is a testament to your unwavering belief in their potential.

“As we celebrate the achievements of these graduates, let us also reflect on the responsibilities that come with the knowledge and skills they have acquired.
