Alake rallies support for African natural resources & energy summit 

The Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dr Dele Alake, Thursday,  called on Nigerians and stakeholders in the mining industry to prepare for a landmark event in Africa’s journey towards economic development and industrialisation as Nigeria hosts the African Natural Resources & Energy Investment Summit (AFNIS) 2024 in Abuja.

The minister spoke while addressing the press on the forthcoming event scheduled to hold later this month.

Accord he said AFNIS 2024 is an initiative of Core I-mine company in collaboration with the federal government that brings together government officials, private sector leaders and industry experts to harness Africa’s vast natural resources in a sustainable manner, driving economic growth, achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and fostering the development of cleaner, more accessible, and reliable energy sources.

Alake said: “It is imperative to highlight the significance of this summit. AFNIS 2024 is not merely a gathering of minds but a convergence of visionaries committed to transforming Africa’s natural resource landscape. Our discussions and decisions will resonate across the continent, influencing policies, shaping industries, and setting the course for a sustainable future.”
