Sinoville police and Proshield Security Company have recovered two stolen BMW motorcyles following a chase.
According to Proshield, the chase came after a patrol unit along Sefako Makgatho Drive spotted a car matching the description of a vehicle used in a theft.
The Proshield R3 unit followed the vehicle to confirm the registration number.
According to the security company, the Ford Fiesta drove towards the tollgate to the N1 south with a white Toyota Quantum following it.
“The unit spotted two bikes in the Quantum,” said Proshield.
“The Quantum got off on the Stormvoël offramp and started making its way towards Mamelodi.”
The unit called for backup and the chase continued.
“The Quantum came to a standstill after driving over a bush sleeper’s legs, and the suspects jumped out and fled.”
The two BMW bikes were recovered.
