When Andrea and his friends started their humble tech company in Cassino, Italy, they were 13 years old selling websites to small business owners. At 15, he left his family to work as an assistant producer on Broadway-style productions.

The Cavalier of Love, his first film, was subsequently made and released in Italy in 2003. However, he couldn’t get the film showing in neighborhood theaters, so he created the Cineschool Day program to give students access to discounted movie tickets instead. Classroom discussions ensued and Andrea built up a collection of existing films on important social issues and presented them to the schools.

Then, in 2011, Andrea Iervolino founded a production company called Iervolino Entertainment, which was renamed Iervolino and Lady Bacardi Entertainment the following year. He then traveled to Italy and met Luciano Martino with whom he co-produced a number of films including The Merchant of Venice. His new business partner was Monika Bacardi, with whom he founded the AMBI Media Group.

In 2015, the Exclusive Media Group film catalog was acquired in part by Andrea’s company and private equity firm Raven Capital Management for a total of 85%. The AMBI Gala Foundation was subsequently founded by Iervolino and Lady Bacardi and the first AMBI Gala was held in front of TIFF. The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation received funds from the event.
