APC national chair: Boss Mustapha most suitable – Abdallah

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other chieftains of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have been urged to shun sentiments and shop for a personality with the requisite experience as the national chairman of the party.

An APC faithful, Dr. Yakubu Abdallah, who is a UK-based critical infrastructure management consultant in an interview with newsmen, said the factors stoking crises in the APC are multi-faceted. He noted that it requires people devoid of primordial sentiments to put the party back on a sound footing.

He said a party loyalist with less interest in personal gains and mature to handle the party’s affairs by embracing everyone in an atmosphere of fairness is capable to take APC to greater heights as a leading national party.

Dr. Abdallah said APC has all it takes to remain Nigeria’s ruling party if President Tinubu roots for the immediate-past Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Barrister Boss Mustapha CFR, as APC national chairman.

According to him, Boss Mustapha has the wherewithal to unite the party in the interest of all and sundry, especially, bona fide members of the party.

Dr Abdallah, who is the CEO/MD of Guildhall Global Services (London) Ltd and its branch in Nigeria, extolled Boss Mustapha’s virtues as a selfless Nigerian with the capacity to build bridges for the APC.

“Our party must get it right this time around. Tinubu should be magnanimous to those with the zest to support him in his crave to development the nation at the party level. His wisdom in shopping for the right calibre for party leadership should be void of personal interest.

“Considering how Boss Mustapha worked with former President Muhammadu Buhari in the SGF office, it is certain he will equally succeed in the APC headquarters as its national chairman

“My passionate appeal to President Tinubu and APC stakeholders is to give Boss Mustapha a chance to lead the party. My interest is the person that will change the negative narrative of our dear party; and I see this in Boss Mustapha.

“We need a patriot like Boss Mustapha who is vast in party politics. He has been there and has acquired the requisite experience to take us as a party to a constant light of national leadership”, Abdullah said.
