After signing into law a bill extending the retirement year of judges, President Bola Tinubu has also signed Electricity Act 2023 Into Law within 24 hours.
The signing of the bill on Friday will allow the de-monopolisation of Nigeria’s electricity generation, transmission and distribution of electricity at the national level.
The bill also empowers states, companies and individuals to generate and transmit electricity.
