The Los Angeles Dodgers are getting set for a three-game series with the best team in baseball this weekend, the Tampa Bay Rays.
The Dodgers enter the series following a much-needed day off, after a grueling stretch of baseball where they played a game on 13 straight days, and had a starting pitcher go more than five innings just three times.
Fortunately, the Dodgers finally have some rest under the belt, and will hope to get a little more length our of their starting pitchers this weekend. Here are the pitching matchups for this weekend’s game.
Thor’ing Into Tampa
On Friday, May 26, RHP Noah Syndergaard will be taking the mound against LHP Jalen Beeks. Here’s everything you need to know about the two pitchers this season.
A Couple of Returns
On Saturday, May 27, Clayton Kershaw will be making his return to the mound after spending a few days on the bereavement list. He’ll be matching up against RHP Tyler Glasnow, who will be making his first start of the year for the Rays coming off Tommy John surgery.
Battle of the Rooks
And finally, in the series finale on Sunday, May 28, rookie RHP Gavin Stone will be making his third career MLB start, looking for a little more success. He’ll be going up another rookie in RHP Taj Bradley, who’s had some success at the big league level.
First pitch for Friday’s game is at 3:40 p.m. PT; Saturday’s game starts at 1:10 p.m. PT; and Sunday’s game is an early 8:35 a.m. PT start time.
