LSU defeated Tennessee 6-4 in Game 2 to win the series against the No. 10 team in the country.
Game 2 in Baton Rouge started with hot bats on both sides. The Tennessee Vols hit a run on a solo homer to put them 1-0 up before the Tigers scored three goals of their own late in the inning. Tommy White, Cade Beloso and Josh Pearson hit RBI doubles to give LSU a 3-1 lead after the first inning.

Tennessee hit another run on top of the second with another solo homer to cut the lead to 3-2. At the top of fourth, the Vols took the lead with a two-run homer to give them a 4-3 lead.
At the end of the fourth, LSU regained the lead as Gavin Dugas and Brady Neal both hit solo homers to give LSU a 5-4 lead.

At the end of the sixth, the Tigers got an insurance run when White hit a sacrificial fly to score Dugas and give LSU a 6-4 lead.

Chase Shores and Griffin Herring followed a good start from Floyd to end Game 2 and win the series against No. 10 Tennessee at Alex Box Stadium. Game 3 takes place on Saturday with the first pitch scheduled for 1pm CT.
