It’s a Lumberton takeover at the Class 4A soccer state tournaments.
The Raiders boys and girls teams have each earned a spot in the upcoming state semifinals after regional championship wins Saturday in Katy. The Lumberton girls were first to secure their trip to state with a 3-0 win over Lorena at Legacy Stadium. A few hours later, the Lumberton boys beat El Campo by the same 3-0 score.

The win gave the Raiders boys their first appearance at the state tournament in program history. The Lady Raiders will be making a return trip after advancing to the 4A semifinal last year.
This year’s 4A state tournament will take place Wednesday at Birkelbach Field in Georgetown. Game times and matchups for the boys and girls brackets have yet to be announced.
