American actors Justin Long and Kate Bosworth are officially engaged. The happy couple confirmed the happy news on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, on Long’s podcast, Life is Short with Justin Long. The 44-year-old comedian and the 40-year-old actress spoke about their relationship and how the proposal happened on the latest episode of the podcast. “I planned something special [Kate’s] A birthday and about a month before that, life, as we were talking, things change, sometimes drastically without any warnings. It was a moment where it felt so organic and it felt connected to something so personal and so deep that we were going through, like, a change in real life, and so it came out in a very organic way,” he told Long.

The couple also talked about how they went through therapy after a “really difficult” period in their lives and how it helped them through their relationship. “I remember not getting up much in the morning after that therapy session and looking at Justin and saying… I smiled at you, and I said, ‘What do you need? And he, like, really looked at me and said, “To spend my life with you.” And I smiled and said, “Well, yeah, you have this. Oh my God, you have that,” and he said, “No, I mean I really want to spend my life with you.”

Long revealed that the suggestion “was the easiest” and that “the words came out very naturally.” He added, “I know with absolute certainty and I knew early on that I would always love you.” Previously, Bosworth sparked engagement rumors at the Vanity Fair Awards on March 12 when she was seen wearing a diamond ring on her left hand, while posing with Long at their red carpet debut. The two met in 2021 while working on a horror movie Dark house. Bosworth posted an Instagram profile of black and white photos with a quirky caption after the announcement.
