Okay, folks, if you haven’t heard of this story, let me bring you up to speed real quick. According to Pineville, LA police, on Sunday, March 12, they received calls that a driver in a white Chevy truck was traveling northbound in the south lanes of the highway. 165. They arrived at the scene to find 67-year-old Duane Boudreaux pulling in and out of oncoming traffic at 90 mph!
It’s a wonder Boudreaux didn’t kill anyone or himself. Several cars veered off the road to avoid accidents as police rushed to the scene. An officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but Boudreaux refused to stop, dangerously taking cops on a 360-degree high-speed chase as he drove in circles an average of several times. At one point it looked like he was chasing the police!
The madness finally ended when Boudreaux crashed head-on into a police unit and tried to push the squad car back. Officers got the man out of his truck and made a shocking discovery. He was naked from the waist down! The final moments of the bizarre chase were filmed and we can thank KALB’s digital team for the video.
There’s nothing funny about a drunk driver. Although I will say if this was a commercial showing the torque and toughness of a Chevy truck, that point would have been made! Because this truck kept driving through the medium like it was nothing. I also wondered where his other sock was. One thing is certain. We’re definitely going to have to file this under the “stupid Nake criminal files.” It was quite a show!
Would you believe this was Duane Boudreaux’s 4th DUI? Well, for his trouble, he’s gotten a long list of other charges, including abetting an officer’s escape, traffic control signals, reckless operation of a vehicle, improper lane use, driving in the left lane that obstructs traffic flow, driving in the right-hand side of the… Street, driving left of center, turn signals required 100 feet, ignition interlock violations, aggravated assault with a motor vehicle on a peace officer and resisting an officer.
Finally, Mr. Boudreaux was still at the Rapides Parish Detention Center with bail set at $112,000.
