THE AWARD WAS PRESENTED TO HEATH AT THE ANNUAL CEREMONY IN BATON ROUGE. HE STARTED AT WDSU IN 1994. WHILE HIS SERVICE HE HELD MANY FUNCTIONS BEFORE RETURNING FROM WDSU LAST SEPTEMBER. AND HONOR WELL DESERVED. AND HEATH. I’LL TELL YOU WHAT, SIR. WE MISS YOU. CONGRATULATIONS HEATH. I THINK. WELL, I MEAN WHAT IS SERVED? THERE IS NO QUESTION ABOUT IT. NOTHING BUT A LOT. The Louisiana Broadcaster’s Association honors WDSU with several awards

The Louisiana Association of Broadcasters held its annual awards ceremony on Friday, where WDSU was honored with multiple awards. WDSU won a total of six awards. These awards were: Best News Show, Big Market, Best Election Coverage, Big Market, Best Sports Show, Big Market, Best Breaking News, Big Market, Advertisement of the Year, Heath Allen wins Lifetime Achievement Award. The Prestige Awards are sponsored annually by the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters to recognize excellence by Louisiana radio and television broadcasters. This competition was created to promote the highest standards of reporting, community service, and production creativity, according to LAB’s website. WDSU is honored to be recognized for our work in the New Orleans area.
