Selena Gomez Gives Inspiring Advice To Her Younger Self!

We can always count on Selena Gomez to keep it real!

To celebrate International Women’s Day on Wednesday, the Disney Channel alum took to her company Rare Beauty’s TikTok account to get candid about body positivity and what she wished she knew when she was younger. The 30-year-old said:

“Something I wish I could tell my younger self is to appreciate that face and the body that you have. It may not look like everyone else, but you are who you are, and be proud of that.”

Aw! Such great advice! It sounds so simple, but it can make a huge impact on your self-esteem!

Over on her Instagram, she also included an ADORBZ snapshot of herself as a kiddo, writing:

“Dear younger me, please don’t be afraid to ask for help.

Selena has been an advocate for mental health and body positivity for the last few years, especially as she’s battled lupus. Last month, she got candid with fans about her body, telling followers that her weight tends to fluctuate due to the medication she takes for the autoimmune disorder. While it can be a struggle, it’s also something she’s grown to accept, she said in an Instagram Live:

“I just want people to know that you’re beautiful and you’re wonderful. And yeah, we have days where maybe we feel like s**t, but I would much rather be healthy and take care of myself and my medications are important, and I believe they are what helps me.”

These words of wisdom also come as the singer’s “heart has been heavy” as she’s dealt with a ton of drama from Hailey Bieber. With all the attention she has on her right now, we love that she’s using her platform to share such inspirational messages like this! Reactions? What would U tell your younger self?
