The Tigers (11-1) swept their four-game streak against Butler and Central Connecticut State over the weekend and into Monday. LSU defeated Butler 12-2 on Friday and 11-0 on Monday. It defeated Central Connecticut State 26-4 on Saturday and 13-0 on Sunday.

LSU starters Paul Skenes, Ty Floyd, Chase Shores and Thatcher Hurd combined allowed just one deserved run in 21⅓ innings pitched during the series. Sluggers Tommy White, Cade Beloso and Dylan Crews also hit multiple home runs during the four-game set.
