In his first full regular season since the 2018-19 season, Klay Thompson has set a new career high from beyond the arc.
With a résumé already decorated from afar, the sniper guard rewrote his own history book with a treble made Tuesday night against the New Orleans Pelicans.
With less than seven minutes remaining in the third quarter, Thompson buried a wing jumper for his 277th made 3-pointer of the season and set a new career high for single-season made triples.

Thompson’s previous career high in 3-point matches came in the 2015-16 season when he knocked down 276 jumpers from beyond the arc.
The nine-year veteran’s 278 3-pointers lead the NBA with 3-pointers this season. Indiana’s Buddy Hield is behind Thompson with 271 triples made. Thompson’s fellow Splash Brother, Steph Curry, is in third place with 250 triples made.
Thompson finished Tuesday with 17 points on 6-of-16 shots from the field with five made 3-pointers, two boards, two steals and an assist in 34 minutes during Golden State’s comeback win over New Orleans, 120-109 .
With five games remaining on the schedule, Thompson has a chance to boost his new career high from the deep.
