For the second time in her career, Jordy Bahl threw a perfect game and the Oklahoma Sooners defeated Southeast Louisiana in a 13-0 run rule win to win the Bulldog Invitational in Starkville, Miss.
Bahl pitched five innings with perfect ball and knocked out eight to lead the Sooners. She had only put seven balls in play and the defense was up to the task of supporting the second pitcher to perfection.

Oklahoma got off to a great start in this game. Jayda Coleman led with a double and Haley Lee hit her fourth home run of the season to give Oklahoma a 2-0 lead in the first. A mistake by SE Louisiana allowed Alyssa Brito to score to make it 3-0 and Kinzie Hansen scored from Jocelyn Erickson’s double.
In the second game, Jayda Coleman took a 4-0 lead and reached the base with a walk. Faced with a 0-2 tally, Nugent hit a three-run home run to give the Sooners a 7-0 lead. It was Nugent’s fourth home run of the season.
Still in the second, Brito scored another single and grabbed an RBI double from Kinzie Hansen for an 8-0 after two.
In the third, the Sooners pinned five more runs on the board with doubles from Alynah Torres, Tiare Jennings, Haley Lee and Alyssa Brito.
Lee went 3 for 3 with a home run and four RBIs to take her batting average to a .490 for the season. Brito also went 3 for 3 with two runs scored and an RBI. She is now batting .460 a season.
Bahl had a strikeout in each of the first two innings and a pair in the last three innings of the game. She averaged 3.53 pitches per at bat. It was an efficient performance by the Circle on a day when the Sooners’ offense dominated.
